MiNightVet Gorleston is part of The Veterinary Hospital and Surgery and operates from within our RCVS accredited Veterinary Hospital Hospital, providing emergency overnight and weekend care to our patients and those of other member practices, including Coastline Veterinary Surgeries, Haven Veterinary Surgeons and Anchorage Veterinary Practice.
Our teams are trained and driven to provide exceptional service to all our hospitalised animals and any emergencies overnight and during the weekend. The veterinary surgeon and registered nurse on shift are committed to the overnight care of all inpatients and as a full working shift they are fresh and ready to continue the care of our patients when the day teams finish.
Weekends are covered by a veterinary surgeon, registered nurse and student nurse/patient care assistant on a rotation from the member practices. This ensures it is one of our local team and a friendly face on duty when you need it most.
Our night service links in with our day team to give a comprehensive 24-hours a day, 365 days a year service. We work closely with our member practices to ensure that all animals that can return to the base practice for discharge or ongoing care are transported by the practices in an animal ambulance. Full handovers and transfer of all records back to the base practice ensures continuity of care for our clients and patients.
As a fully equipped hospital we have all the facilities and equipment to manage the needs of our inpatients and any incoming emergencies. We are committed to the training and continuous professional development of our veterinary teams to ensure we are confident to deliver of the highest standards of care to our patients and clients.
